Danielle Louise Reid

Danielle was the daughter of Tracy Reid and Stanley Wells Jnr.

Tracy moved Danielle away from her family and friends to live with her new boyfriend Lee Gaytor in
Inverness, Tracy then lost contact with everyone from her home area,and little Danielle had no
option of any form of contact with her daddy,grandparents,aunts,uncles,cousins,half brothers and
half sisters.

Danielle's short life came to an abrupt end when her mother's lover savagely beat her and threw her
down a flight of stairs.
Danielle survived the attack for at least two hours but Reid failed to get any medical help and left
her to die in her room.

Later, she put her daughter's body in a suitcase weighed down with rocks and tiles and chatted
casually to her boyfriend's brother as she went to hurl it into the Caledonian Canal.

Lee Gaytor's brother Christopher had been drinking alongside Reid's Mothers partner. As midnight
neared on Hogmanay, he suddenly blurted out that Lee had "done in the bairn". The man made him
repeat the allegation in front of a doorman before calling the police.


Tracy and Lee later gave various and conflicting stories about the little girl's last hours, but it
seems Lee - probably under the influence of drugs - beat the girl while alone in the house with her.
Tracy returned to find her daughter wounded but alive, but did not act to save her. They then
enlisted Chris to help dispose of the body.Within days Tracy, Lee and Chris were all in custody, and
Chris had led the police to the spot where they had dumped Danielle's body
Danielles little body was recovered three months later in a suitcase in the Caledionian Canal in
Inverness, her little body was beyond identification

Charges were brought against all three involved in Danielles death ~

Lee Gaytor : 15 years for Murder

Tracey Reid : 8 years for failing to get medical help
and perverting the course of justice.

Christopher Gaytor : 18 months for perverting the course of justice by helping to dispose of the
body.

Yet again this is a tragic case of yet another individual " being let down by the system "

Rest in peace Danielle, you have touched the hearts of so many people, you are loved and missed each
and every day
